Supacore Compression has a reputation for innovation with an injury management and rehabilitation focus and taking performance sportswear to the next level. It’s for this reason that we’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ve aligned with elite sports scientist and former head of the Celtic FC’s sports science division, Ian Coll.
Ian started his career in Sports Science support at Airdrie United Football Club as First Team Sports Scientist before moving to Celtic Football Club to become their Full-Time Youth Academy Sports Scientist. His goal was to provide Celtic Football Club with current and applied research into “Developing the Modern Day Footballer”, looking at Strength and Conditioning from an athletic and performance viewpoint. In September 2013, Ian was promoted to First Team Sports Scientist to provide the First Team with GPS and Database analysis, Player Development and to help bridge the gap between Development of the Reserve Team Squad. More recently in February 2015, Ian was promoted to Head of Sports Science at Celtic Football Club where he worked until 2017.
It was here at Celtic FC that Ian first discovered Supacore and was impressed with the next-generation technology and injury management features of their performance compression garments including patented technologies CORETECH®, RibTech®, and Supa-X®. Together, Supacore and Ian hope to drive injury prevention and management techniques and education using science and research-backed innovation in order to help amateur and elite athletes across multiple disciplines.
