CORETECH™ - Engineered Waistband Technology
WHAT IS CORETECH™?
CORETECH™ is unique technology integrated into Supacore Compression shorts and leggings to improve core stability.Continual stress to core muscle groups can cause chronic injuries that may result in months if not years waiting on the sideline. Wearing a sacro-iliac joint (SIJ) belt improves core stability, and reduces groin pain but it is impractical to wear a SIJ belt during sport.
Supacore's unique CORETECH™ waistband technology has been developed to incorporate the compression provided by a sacro-iliac belt into leggings and shorts that can be worn during sport and exercise. It has been developed for all levels of competition (elite athletes to weekend warriors) to facilitate your competition and rehabilitation needs.
HOW DOES CORETECH™ ASSIST WITH CORE STABILITY?
CORETECH™ improves your core stability by applying a compression force through your pelvis exactly where it is needed. The compression force mimics the body’s own deep internal stabilising system.
Supacore's CORETECH™ also features engineered body mapping, medical grade compression and Ribtech to provide gentle massaging of the muscles as you move.
HOW DOES CORETECH™ ASSIST WITH THE RECOVERY OF HAMSTRING & GROIN INJURIES?
It is well documented that poor core stability is related to hamstring and groin (adductors) strains and tears. When an athlete's core stability is poor, the hamstrings and groin muscles act as a stabilising muscle. This increase in workload can lead to these muscles being more susceptible to injury.
If an injury to this area is sustained, the core support provided by CORETECH™ can help to stabilise the pelvis and allow the healing process to take place. The pelvic compression provided by CORETECH™ aims to stabilise the pelvis by mimicking the stabilising action of the deep core muscles.
Supacore compression shorts and leggings should be worn during all rehabilitation, training and competition, to improve pelvic stability with the ultimate aim of reducing the risk of re-injury.
